Welcome Participants—the Conference on Catholic Higher Education

Welcome! It is a joy to gather with you as we reflect on Pope Leo XIV’s invitation to Draw New Maps of Hope for Catholic higher education. Thank you for the wisdom, generosity, and faithful service you bring to the Church’s mission of teaching, learning, and forming hearts for lives of love and service. May our time together renew our hope, deepen our commitment to Christ, and inspire us to imagine new pathways of faith and possibility for the generations entrusted to our care.

Here is the PowerPoint Presentation from Bill

Thank you for your presence, your attentiveness, and your willingness to reflect together. I hope these resources will help you continue what we began. Keep your heart open to Christ, your eyes open to those around you, and your life open to the quiet invitations of grace. Then go and live what we have celebrated together.

Thomas Aquinas & John Henry Newman

Hildegard of Bingen & Elizabeth Ann Seton

Hildegard of Bingen & Elizabeth Ann Seton

Aquinas reminds us that faith and reason belong together; Newman reminds us that education is about forming persons, not simply transmitting knowledge.

Hildegard reminds us that education awakens wonder at God's presence throughout creation; Elizabeth Ann Seton reminds us that education is an act of love, opening doors of hope and opportunity for others.
