Added Material for Parish Use

It's vital for us to learn how to read Scripture

Learning to read Scripture with critical and prayerful tools helps us hear what the text truly says, not merely what we wish it to say. Without this care, faith can slip into selective literalism or “proof texting,” where verses are lifted out of context to defend personal opinions or power. We are never meant to read Scripture in isolation, but within the wider Christian community, which through prayer and discernment helps us understand how the living Word continues to speak today. Read in this shared light, Scripture becomes not a weapon or proof, but a path into the heart of God.
