Do we pray WITH the Holy One—or TO the Holy?

Praying to God often begins as speaking — offering our words, needs, and hopes to the Holy One who listens with love. But praying with God goes deeper; it is a relationship, a shared silence where we open our hearts to the divine presence already within and around us. In this kind of prayer, we move from asking to accompanying, from seeking favors to seeking communion. We begin to listen, to rest in God’s love, and to discover that prayer is not a monologue but a conversation of the heart — God praying within us as we pray within God.
